When we are young we yearn for our birthdays, a day full of gifts and attention. At what age do we stop yearning for them and start to fear them as we often do? Another birthday is another year that we own, another year in the bank. For many, a birthday is just another day but to me they are moments where memories should be made. As we age our birthdays are less about quantity of gifts and friends but more about the quality, being around our favourite things. These things we have filtered over the years and can be counted by fingers. \u00a0They are the special things that should surround us on our special day. Birthdays aren’t just for children, the magic of birthdays is there for adults if we allow it.<\/address>\n
Yesterday was my special husbands birthday. His\u00a0day of celebration of personal growth and age. Since having Eden, birthdays hold a new meaning for me. The hard work that enabled her birth, fills me with pride. To me, now, a birthday is celebration of success instead of just age. Every birthday that she has will remind me of that day and be a measure of her achievement and mine as her mummy.<\/address>\n
For my husband, yesterday was a first. His first birthday as a daddy. \u00a0 His first birthday as a husband and his first as business partner. In this past year he has achieve huge milestones, I am so proud and so lucky. Hopefully, his day made memories and was filled with things that make him smile. He deserved the most special day.
