Wonderful Weekend

The weekend is here and although every day is my weekend, it always feels a little more relaxing. Eden and I have learnt a few things this week that I thought we would share……….
WHAT WE HAVE LEARNT………..
  1. Eden learnt that no matter how fun licking bubbles in the bath looks, it will always end with the same taste. She also learnt that no matter how many times she does it her mum will always get the giggles from her screwed up face.
  2. I learnt that the crockpot is a fantastic way of getting dinner organised so you don’t have to rush in the evening. I also learnt that the cooker wont prepare dinner unless it is turned on.  Bit of an oversight.
  3. Eden learnt to babble loudly this week, there is no sweeter sound than her talking to herself. It takes serious concentration for her to form noises and if you make her smile in between she can’t do it. I can see that she might get frustrated soon with our constant interuption of her serious conversations. She is a talker, just like her mum.
  4. I have learnt that being without my own computer was like missing a family member.  So happy that it has been reunited with us.
  5. I have learnt that in some things like painting the fence, it is so rewarding to see how far you have come and not look into what needs to be done in the future. There is nothing like the feeling of accomplishment.
  6. Eden has learnt that painting the fence and gardening are boring. I already knew that one.
Well the weekend concludes another week, another week ahead to learn so much more. I am currently looking after a friends 5 month old during the night while she works and  I have a new found respect for parents of twins.  I am just thankful that, as amazing as he is, I can return him and just have my Edie for most of the week. I know there is a lot of learning to be had in my playcentre next week.
xx
