Is it called tough love because its hard on her or because it is hard on me??My wee angel is debating the need for afternoon sleeps with me, she is not a baby who cries but today she is clearing her lungs with a bellow that is tugging on the heart strings. I swear that her cry at full flight sounds like mu…mmmmy…. Attempting a routine is like preparing for a marathon, its hard work, its exhausting, it gets emotional but finally once you reach the goal everything seems easy in comparison. I think we are about 1km into our marathon. Day one of the routine attempt was last Friday and a disaster, Dad was home!!!Rule number one I have found out in the prep for our routine marathon is tough love cannot be performed with the dad in the house. My wee poppit has her daddy wrapt around her tiny thumb, her cries are too painful for him, tired cries none the less. That Friday, feeling like I had a success when the crying became silent I snuck into the nursery to check on her and found a gulity looking daddy cuddling a content looking monkey. Day one of the routine marathon was aborted, today he is at work so the tough love has begun. Wish me luck.x
